For the
Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost
Christmas
is that wonderful time of the year when we celebrate the birth
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As the scripture notes,
He came to earth to save us. For without Him, we would all be
lost with no hope of eternal life in heaven.
The
Hebrew for save is "yasha", which means to help or to
deliver. The Greek word "sozo" means to save, and is
used with the noun soteria, which denotes wholeness. Jesus came
so we could experience all that God has provided for true believers.
Thru the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we can live
victoriously, as we spread the good news that God grants eternal
salvation to all who receive Christ as their Savior.
As
God's chosen messengers, we must not wait to share the gospel.
There are lost souls who need to know that the precious gift of
salvation is available to them any time of the year.
