Senior
Pastor, Dr. Dennis Thompson received the Lord Jesus Christ as
his Lord and Savior in 1979. After he was called into the ministry,
he attended the Seminary Extension and received a Diploma in Pastoral
Ministries from the Southern Baptist Convention Seminary Extension,
Nashville, Tennessee.
He
graduated from Trinity University in Miami, Florida with the Bachelor
of Science Degree in Biblical Studies and Human Resource Management.
Dr. Thompson continued his studies at Jacksonville Baptist Theological
Seminary and graduated with the Master and the Doctor of Ministry
Degree.
Dr.
Thompson also served as Dean of the College of Religious Studies
at the University of Fort Lauderdale. He resigned that position
as Dean in May 2000 to relocate to Louisville, GA. After moving
to Jefferson County, Dr. Thompson became the outreach leader for
the central region through Operation Starting Line, a ministry
of Prison Fellowship. He is also very involved in the community
through "SHIPS FOR YOUTH".

Dr. Mary B. Thompson received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord
and Savior in 1974. She graduated with the Bachelor of Science
and Master of Education Degree from Florida A. & M. University,
Tallahassee, Florida.
After
she was called into the ministry, she continued her studies at
the University of Fort Lauderdale and graduated with the Doctor
of Ministry Degree. Dr. Mary B. Thompson was Lead Chaplin of Washington
State Prison, a woman's close security prison that had a population
of 1,400 from 2001-2005.
Drs.
Dennis and Mary B. Thompson are the C.E.O.s, Founders and Co-Founders
of D. & M. Ministries, and the Senior and Co-Pastor of New
Way Christian Church. Through the leadership of the Holy Spirit,
the Thompsons are serving in the ministry through the pastorate,
Christian counseling, revivals, camp meetings, workshops, seminars,
and prison ministry. Drs. Dennis and Mary B. Thompson have planted
"Living By The Word" a Sunday morning radio broadcast
on station W.P.E.H.
